Tibet Motion Pictures & Arts is a Tibetan filmmaking venture formed by Tashi Wangchuk and Tsultrim Dorjee. The unit produces Tibetan related feature films and documentaries in particular and the crossover films in general.
TASHI WANGCHUK (Co-Director)
After completing his Master in Economics from Dehradun studied Master in Filmmaking from the United States under Fulbright Scholarship. He is one of the co-directors of the feature film,Phun Anu Thanu and Richard Gere is My Hero His co-directorial venture also includes a 28 minute documentary film commissioned by India's national network, Doordarshan,Democracy in Exile and a Tibetan comedy serial,Ha-Ha-He-He He also acted in an Indian telefilm,Behind the Axis of Evil an AIM TV Pvt. Ltd Production. Earlier when he was an instructor at Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, TIPA directed as well as acted in some of the notable plays of the institute
TSULTRIM DORJEE (Co-Director)
After graduating from Central School for Tibetan, Mussoorie, Tsultrim served Tibetan Exile Govt. as a public servant for 13 years. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Filmmaking and Cinema from Satvick Infotech & Diploma, Bhartiya Vidhya Bhawan, Bangalore, India. He is also the co-directors of the feature film, "Phun Anu Thanu" "Richard Gere is My Hero", the 28 Minute Doordarshan documentary film, "Democracy in Exile" and the Tibetan comedy serial, "Ha-Ha-He-He". He has to his credit a short digital film, "Little Monk" which he wrote, cinematographed, edited, produced and directed for his final project for the aforesaid degree program.
